My story
My Journey as a Product Designer
My path into product design began in 2015 with a Dual Vocational Training Program as a Digital & Print Media Designer, where I worked in a full-service web agency and learned to design and code in HTML and CSS. This early combination of visual design and hands-on technical skills shaped how I still approach product design today: with a deep understanding of both user experience and implementation.
In my next role at publicplan, I continued creating digital products while increasingly transitioning toward UX. I worked on websites and web applications for public services and German government institutions—projects that required clarity, inclusivity, and high standards of usability. This experience solidified my decision to focus fully on UX Design.
I then joined StepStone, one of Germany’s leading job platforms. Over nearly four years, I grew as a UX Designer while taking ownership of two B2C engagement-focused products: the Salary Planner and the CV Generator. I also contributed to a company-wide rebranding initiative and later supported the B2B area. My time at StepStone taught me how to navigate complex ecosystems and drive user-centered solutions at scale.
After that, I moved to Seven. One Entertainment Group, working on Joyn, a major streaming platform in the DACH region. I collaborated on horizontal, teamwide initiatives and was deeply involved with the Android App and Android TV teams. One of my key contributions was helping initiate and establish the design system, including building platform-specific Figma libraries. Accessibility also became an important focus for me, especially with the European Accessibility Act approaching. I led workshops, supported company-wide efforts, and created guidelines to help teams build more inclusive products.
Most recently, I joined XING, where I work as the responsible designer for the Job Journey and Application Journey, essential parts of the platform. I quickly integrated into the team and was already able to deliver value from day one in a highly cross-functional setup.
